Apply for a Grant

Apply for a Grant.

Waypoints Foundation provides grant support to help eligible schools, districts, and teachers gain access to the Waypoints platform when budget limitations would otherwise prevent it.

Who May Apply

Eligible applicants.

Applications are welcome from:

  • Public school districts
  • Charter schools
  • Independent and private schools
  • Individual educators
  • Other educational organizations whose mission aligns with serious instruction and the thoughtful use of primary sources (including homeschooling associations)

What Grant Support Is For

Grant support is intended to help cover some or all of the cost of access to the Waypoints platform. Depending on need and available funding, grants may support:

  • Individual teacher access
  • School-wide access
  • District-level access
  • Other tailored uses consistent with the Foundation’s mission

What We Look For

In reviewing applications, the Foundation may consider:

  • Financial need
  • Clear educational purpose
  • Commitment to meaningful use of Waypoints
  • Likelihood of sustained benefit for teachers and students
How to Apply

Start at Waypoints Teaching.

Before beginning the grant process, please visit waypointsteaching.com and review the Home Plan, Academy Plan, and Custom Plan options. If an Academy Plan or Custom Plan appears best suited to your school or organization, please use the Contact Us feature there to request a price estimate.

Once you have reviewed the proposed plan and pricing, if you determine that financial assistance is needed, you may apply for grant support using the form below or by contacting Waypoints Foundation directly.

Applicants should be prepared to provide:

  • Name and contact information
  • School, district, or organization name
  • A brief description of how Waypoints would be used
  • The number of teachers and/or students who may benefit
  • A short explanation of financial need or budget limitations

Review Process

What happens next.

Applications are reviewed as funding allows. Because the Foundation is in its early stages, grant availability may be limited. We nevertheless welcome serious inquiries from educators and institutions that believe Waypoints would strengthen their teaching.

Budget limitations should not be the final barrier to better teaching and more serious learning.
